Most people consider their computer to be their best buddy। To be honest, I feel that I can't survive without my computer because I write on it for a living. I'm willing to bet a few bucks that there are many others who share my viewpoint. Computers have pretty much changed the world and the way we live in it.
I take my computer's health seriously because I don't want to revert back to the old-school methods. I would never let any virus come near my babies. That is why I use virus scanners to scan my computers regularly.
I don’t know anything about virus scanners before the year 2000. Well, I honestly knew nothing about computers in general. I couldn't tell you what software did what or where to find a USB port. I know it's sad.
Anyway, I was lucky because I was curious enough to sign up for a couple computer courses. It was enlightening to know about software,
hardware, virus scanners, and other computer related terms.
You are missing out on a lot of things if you are still in the dark when it comes to computers. Anyway, I am both using an IBM desktop and a MAC notebook computer on a daily basis. I use one for work and the other for play. My Mac seems to never have even the slightest issues with viruses, but I can't say the same regarding my PC.
My virus software regularly informs me that some random virus has just been quarantined on my PC. It’s a good thing that my IBM has up-to-date software with effective virus scanners or my PC would have been useless by now.
I wish that my PC could be more like my Mac. My Mac can easily keep viruses at bay. I simply have to update the software when needed. You can do the same on your computer just by selecting the program and clicking update. Remember to do this at least once every week.
I also use virus scanners and do the entire system every once in a while. This means that the virus software will scan my entire hard drive for problems. However, the process of using virus scanners usually takes a little bit of time, but it is a small price to pay for protecting your computer from those evil viruses.
